No. 9: The Shepherd and the Lamb - After Oedipus kills the Sphinx, he wins the crown of Thebes and Jocasta's hand in marriage. They retire to the palace to consummate, but Oedipus, as a young virgin, is timid in the boudoir. Jocasta seduces him and ... makes him feel at home.
No. 11: Corinthian Blues - Tyra uses sorcery to check out Oedipus' past, and finds this moment from Oed's youth: he's playing music with his mentor, a shepherd named Bolan, singing his dreams of glory and breaking free, but getting angry when he stumbles with the music.
No. 12: Marathon (Instrumental) - In the same flashback, OEDIPUS fights with his adoptive father, Polybus, and is forced to flee Corinth. He fights off guards, climbs over the gate, and runs into the Greek wilderness.
No. 17: Change is the Way (Instrumental): after OEDIPUS takes over ruling Thebes, Creon & Tyra struggle to stay on the new King's good side. Creon begins to dress in the style of the new King, and sings to Tyra about the need to go with the flow, change and adapt.
No. 18 Spectacle - Tyra, having tried to advise the new king but feeling ignored, tries to gain his attention with a showstopper demonstrating her skills: reading the future, calling forth spirits, all in the midst of a dance number.
No. 21 Like a Man - after fighting with her brothers, Tiggy (Antigone) seeks advice from Jocasta and Tyra. Instead of wise words, they use this as an excuse teach Tiggy to find her powers in mocking men's foibles.
No. 22 In Every City a Tyrant - After a snubbing from Oedipus, and her moment with Tiggy reminding her of her own powers, TYRA visits the shrine of Dionysus. As she prays for power, she sees two snakes fighting, and strikes them with her stake, and she is turned into a man. She rubs ashes from the fire on her face, making her appear as a white man.
No. 28 The Fear and the Pity - When the truth of Oedipus and Jocasta's relationship comes out, Thebes needs a new leader. Tiggy and Tyra sing to the population, advocating for their first ever female ruler to purge the city-state of it's inherited sins and toxicity.
